Allow Localities in Virginia to Remove or Keep War Monuments
Virginia State Delegate David Toscano has introduced House Bill #2377 which would allow local governments in Virginia to decide whether to remove, maintain, or contextualize their war monuments. If a town, city, or county wanted to change nothing, it would change nothing. But if a local government decides to remove or relocate or add to its own monument in its own public space, the state government would no longer be able to prevent that. This ought to be an easy yes for any believer in self-determination.
