The government's new Borders Bill threatens women's safety. Please ask your MP to stand up for women seeking asylum!

The government is trying to push through new legislation - the Nationality and Borders Bill - that will make it even harder for refugee women to find safety in the UK.

Please write to your MP and ask them to stand up for women who need protection in the UK.

The Bill is designed to punish, not protect. We are particularly concerned that it will discriminate against women who have survived sexual violence, trafficking and persecution on the basis of their sexuality. The Bill will actively harm women who have already survived extreme violence, and will make it much harder for them to access refugee protection and rebuild their lives.

One woman in our network who is seeking asylum said, "They might as well be ending the asylum system altogether."

Now, more than ever, refugee women need your solidarity. Please write to your MP and ask them to use their voice in Parliament to stand up for the right to asylum. All you need to do is fill out your details on the right of this page and you can edit the template letter as you wish.
