Demand Just Climate Policy

Climate justice is racial justice. The climate crisis disproportionally affects communities of color, particularly black and indigenous communities, and we must fight against environmental racism and classism in order to adequately fight the climate crisis. We are running out of time to negate the worst effects of climate change and need to take bold action now. We must demand our legislators take action by supporting Bill H.2836, which establishes strict emissions limits that get us to 100% Renewable energy by 2045 and H.2810, which levies strong, specific corporate polluter fees to equitably fund a just transition to a green economy, and H.4264/S.453/S.464, which provide legal definitions that will allow us to protect communities from environmental racism and classism.
