Build the MetroMover Connection from Downtown to South Beach!

Rendering created by Zyscovich Architects

For almost 40 years, Miami-Dade County residents have been promised a comprehensive public transit system that empowers people to move freely without the need for a car. The Baylink proposal is an important missing link, essential to helping us realize this vision of building a more well-connected, world-class city. The S/120 bus that runs through the beach corridor currently has the highest ridership in our transit system, serving thousands of service workers, tourists, and beach residents daily. For the first time, residents and visitors could travel near seamlessly from Downtown, Brickell, and Omni to South Beach in one system without enduring heavy traffic congestion on the MacArthur Causeway.

Transit is at its best when it takes the most people to the most jobs and services, and by expanding MetroMover to South Beach, this project does exactly that. With the Baylink, people will no longer have to worry about excessive traffic, the hassle of parking, or the excessive fees that come with driving. It just makes sense. Build the Baylink!
