CR-049-2019 Re-entry Advisory Board
Join Progressive Maryland, QED Inc., and other concerned citizens in speaking up for the needs of those returning home from jail and prison. This group of citizens are the least supported in our County government, and they have some of the greatest unmet needs. Their needs, like all other citizens in Prince George's County, must be met to ensure their successful transition back into society, to maintain public safety, and to secure the health and welfare of returning citizens, their families, and the entire community. Please join our letter campaign by writing a letter to your elected officials in the Maryland General Assembly and to the members of the Prince George's County Council to ask for a status update on funding for bill CR-049-2019, which the Prince George's County Council passed unanimously earlier this year, and the work of the Re-entry Advisory Board that the bill establishes. Thanks for joining your voice with ours in support of returning citizens!
