Data Center Moratorium Now!

Right now, tech companies are eyeing Philadelphia neighborhoods for massive AI data centers — and city council can stop it before it starts.

Hours after hundreds of Philadelphians launched the No Data Centers in Philly campaign demanding a moratorium on data centers, Mayor Parker felt the pressure, and proposed a task force.

A task force and a promise to "study" the issue, while Big Tech keeps creeping in, isn't enough. We need a moratorium now.

The Mayor's response proves the threat is real, this campaign has power, and we’ve got to keep pushing. Without a moratorium, a task force does nothing to protect us now and takes time we don’t have.

These data centers drive up electric bills, strain our water and power grid, and pollute the air in the neighborhoods stuck living next to them.

Dozens of organizations across Philly have joined together to demand protections today, not tomorrow. We need an immediate moratorium, real transparency, and a seat at the table for the communities on the frontlines. Nothing about our neighborhoods without our neighborhoods.

Council members need to hear from their constituents now. Add your name and send the letter below and tell them City Council has a job to do: Protect neighborhoods. Pass a moratorium now!
