California's budget negotiations are entering a critical stage. The Governor, Assembly, and Senate have all released their budget proposals, and now is the time to ensure they invest in children, families, workers, and communities.
We need California leaders to build on the Governor's May Revision and legislative proposals by raising progressive revenues and protecting families from harmful federal cuts.
Tell Legislators to Support IMAGINE Budget Priorities:
✅ Raise progressive revenues to protect Californians from federal cuts and economic hardship.
⚠️ Protect and restore full-scope Medi-Cal for Health4All and keep nearly 2 million Californians insured.
⚠️ Fully fund In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) and reject harmful proposals that would make it harder for seniors and people with disabilities to access care.
✅ Prevent hunger by expanding the California Food Assistance Program (CFAP+) for families impacted by federal cuts.
✅ Save essential child care slots and keep California's promise to create 200,000 child care spaces.
✅ Invest in place-based neighborhood initiatives that strengthen communities.
✅ Protect immigrant families by investing in and expanding access to legal defense services.
