We are requesting urgent action to oppose a motion that seeks to quash the right to protest through the enforcement of "safe zones" and to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism at City Council. This does not create a safer city for anyone.

Please write the mayor and all city councillors to highlight the dangers of protest and speech bans. We want to let City Council know that increasing policing of protests risks criminalizing all Palestinians and their allies for accurately describing and opposing Israel’s historical and ongoing treatment of Palestinians.
