Demand CA Public Health and School Districts Protect Children, Teachers, and Families From SARS-2

CA Public Health has ended the isolation period
CA Public Health has ended the isolation period for children who are asymptomatically testing positive for SARS-2 which will lead to a greater number of outbreaks that will affect children, families, and teachers. Join ActionCareEquity.org's campaign in demanding that CA Public Health and school districts across the state reinstate and maintain their isolation period for all individuals, teachers and students, who are testing positive for SARS-2.
Letter Example:
I am joining ActionCareEquity.org in demanding that CA Public Health and school districts across their county reinstate and maintain isolation requirements for individuals in schools, including children and teachers, to prevent outbreaks during this ongoing airborne pandemic of SARS-2.
We are in the second largest wave of the pandemic and ending isolation periods for anyone who is symptomatic but testing positive is reckless. Every person was brought up knowing that it’s never been a good idea to go to school sick. We continue to be in an ongoing airborne pandemic and it is an inhumane policy to normalize mass reinfection of SARS-2/COVID as it is a multi-systemic, vascular and organ-damaging, immune-dysregulating disease.
We have now entered year 5 of this ongoing pandemic and evidence continues to increase on the damages caused by SARS-2: damages to the immune system, the heart, lungs, brain, liver, and kidneys, possibly for years or even a lifetime of disabling Long COVID.
1 in every 5 kids are getting Long COVID, this is unsustainable and damaging children's bodies for the rest of their lives as there is currently NO treatment or cure for Long COVID.
We demand that CA Public Health and every school district including LAUSD and the school districts of Oakland, San Diego, and Lafayette keep their isolation guidelines for children who are testing positive to prevent outbreaks in schools. Additionally, it is urgent to upgrade ventilation and air filtration in schools to provide a long-term safe and healthy environment for all.
