One of President-elect Donald Trump's very first appointments was white supremacist Stephen Bannon to a senior advisory position in the White House. David Duke called the appointment "excellent."

Trump's later appointments are further proof that Bannon was only the beginning:

  • Senator Jeff Sessions, who he has nominated for Attorney General, was even too racist for Strom Thurmond when he made an unsuccessful bid for federal judge

  • EPA appointee Scott Pruitt is a climate-change denying politician from Oklahoma, and a wholly owned subsidiary of the fossil fuel industry

  • Education Secretary pick Betsy DeVos would be a nightmare of LGBT children, and a staunch advocate of ending public schools altogether

  • Labor Secretary nominee Andrew Pudzer is a corporate C.E.O. who opposes the minimum wage

  • Trump's pick for Treasury Secretary is a Goldman Sachs bank executive who foreclosed on a 90-year-old woman over 27 cents.

  • Secretary of State nominee Rex Tillerson is the CEO of Exxon Mobil, a notorious oil corporation that put billions into denying climate science.

  • Energy Secretary nominee Rick Perry is a climate denier who famously forgot the name of the Energy Department as one he wanted to eliminate.

These are just some bad nominees. Expect more from where that came from.

Bannon's appointment does not require Senate approval, but Trump will make hundreds of executive branch and judicial appointments that do—including the five listed above.

And any Senator can put a hold on these nominations, for any reason.

Sign and send the petition to your U.S. Senators. Urge them to block every single Trump appointee, by placing a hold on their nomination.
