When we were preparing to launch Bobbie, an infant formula company, we discovered a policy gap: breast and gynecologic cancer survivors, previvors and thrivers are given a free breast pump, but zero financial support for infant formula or donor milk. And for the last nearly 6 years, we’ve been working to fix this gap with our program the Bobbie Breasties. This program is in partnership with the Breasties, the first all-inclusive nonprofit organization that creates community for survivors, previvors, stage 4 thrivers, and caregivers impacted by breast and gynecologic cancers. Every year, we provide a group of mothers with free infant formula for one year to cover their babies' first full year of feeding.

However, we made a commitment to fix the bigger policy gap and that's what we are proposing to do with The Constance C. McDaniel Medically Necessary Infant Formula + Donor Milk Act aka Connie's Bill. And we need your support. This policy solution would fund a 3 year pilot to cover infant formula and donor milk for medical necessity.
