Nurses at Wilcox Medical Center have been fighting for a new contract with safe staffing ratios, pay that keeps pace with inflation and work-life balance to help retain our local nurses since May of 2024. Safe staffing is when the nurse to patient ratio is low enough that every patient can get the care they need. Safe staffing and a stable workforce lead to better quality of care for our community in Kauai.

Sadly, in response, HPH/ Wilcox has illegally retaliated against nurses who have spoken out for patient safety and safe staffing ratios.

Please send a letter to Wilcox CEO Jen Chahanovich and ask her to make sure HPH/Wilcox ends their bullying and retaliation and give Kauai residents safe staffing ratios and raises that match inflation to help retain and recruit quality nurses for our community.
