In July 2025, the craftsmen and ground crew at Norwich University voted overwhelmingly to join Teamsters Local 597. In the months since, the university has committed numerous unfair labor practices and refused to bargain in good faith for a first contract. In fact, the university is now refusing to respond to any communication from the union and has failed to set up a single bargaining date.

These workers keep Norwich up and running — and deserve to be treated with respect by their employer.
