Passing the For the People Act (H.R.1/S.1) is an essential first step to achieving any progressive policy goals during the Biden administration. We must begin to unrig our democracy so every American has an equitable voice in our government. To do this, we must pass S.1./H.R.1. But to do this, we must end the filibuster. Both CA Senators are cosponsors of S.1. and Sen. Padilla firmly supports ending the filibuster. Sen. Feinstein, however, has not fully committed to ending the filibuster. Write our Senators now to thank them for their support of S.1. and to demand they not let the filibuster get in the way of passage.
