In April, Delta Apparel - a US-based company - fired 40 workers with crippling musculoskeletal injuries from their factory in Honduras. There was outrage, and Delta agreed to reinstate 25 of them, but under conditions which violate Honduran labor laws. For example, they're being forced to endure the same conditions that led to their disabilities - like being required to stand all day - as well as having to go through the long and costly process of disability certification with the Honduran Social Security Institute a second time.

Please insist that the U.S. government live up to its promise that CAFTA-DR would “strengthen workers’ rights and conditions in the region."
