Help Protect Our Local Schools - No More Broken Promises

In June, the San José Unified school board was asked to allow a new school, Promise Academy, to receive $2-3 million in public funding to open in our district. After studying the school’s proposal, as the law requires, the school board voted not to allow the school to open, finding that it didn’t meet the education code and wouldn’t provide families with a high quality school.

Now, Promise Academy is trying to go around our school board’s decision by appealing to the Santa Clara County Board of Education. Please join us in protecting our schools by contacting the members of the County Board of Education. Ask them to hear the San José community and elected school board and vote “No” on September 6th.
