On Tuesday 11/14, the City Council voted the HOMES tax proposal out of the 2018 budget package. However, they all verbally committed to working to craft legislation taxing large businesses through an Employee Hours Tax (EHT) to fund housing and homeless services within the next few months. On Wednesday Councilmember Gonzalez shared a draft resolution laying out a process and timeline. The Housing For All Coalition believes this resolution needs to be strengthened in various ways.
