House Oregon Now: Fund Solutions That Work!

Oregon's housing crisis has reached a breaking point. With nearly 22,000 Oregonians experiencing homelessness on any given night and thousands more facing eviction each month, we cannot afford to lose momentum in our response. Governor Kotek has prioritized housing, declaring a state of emergency on her first day in office to address rising unsheltered homelessness. Still, federal funding cuts now threaten to slow Oregon's progress, with HUD facing significant staff reductions that could impact crucial programs.

The OHCS budget is our most powerful tool to prevent homelessness, provide housing stability, and increase affordable housing across Oregon. Join us in calling on the Joint Subcommittee on Transportation and Economic Development to fully fund these critical investments for 2025-2027. Recent data shows more people are entering homelessness than exiting it, with 1,277 new people identified as homeless in Multnomah County while only 865 left homelessness between January 2024 and January 2025. Our collective advocacy is needed now to ensure that all Oregonians have access to safe, stable housing.
