Throughout this health crisis, Bergen County’s public school employees have repeatedly stressed the importance of returning to a more normalized educational setting, “only when it is safe to do so.”

A keystone of the clarion call for safer learning and working environments has been the attainment and dissemination of a vaccine.

Now, COVID-19 vaccinations exist, but educators have yet to be announced as immediately eligible recipients, by the State of New Jersey.  

BCEA members, our students, their families, and our extended educational communities, are depending on the safe and stabilized return to in-person education. But that cannot happen, if public school employees’ access to COVID-19 vaccination is being inexplicably delayed.

TAKE ACTION, BCEA! Urge Governor Phil Murphy to direct NJDOH Commissioner Judith Persichilli to open New Jersey’s vaccination eligibility, immediately, specifically, and directly, to include our public school employees!
