Join 158 US Law Deans to Protect Legal Services!

Despite enjoying decades of bi-partisan support, the federal Legal Services Corporation (LSC) is now threatened. Millions of low-income Americans confronted with discrimination, illegal eviction, denial of rights, etc. rely on LSC-funded local legal service organizations for representation These Americans must not be denied access to our civil legal system!

This letter (read it HERE) was signed by UDC-DCSL Dean Shelley Broderick, our alums, Andrea Lyons, ’76 dean of Valparaiso University School of Law and Penny Willrich, ’82 dean of Arizona Summit Law School and 155 other US law school deans.  While the deans’ letter is addressed to two US House Committee Chairs and two US Senate Committee Chairs, the School of Law urges all friends, alumni and others who care about access to justice to take action by contacting their own House members and both US Senators.
