Three pieces of legislation currently being considered by the legislature's Joint Committee on the Judiciary could have important positive benefits for members of the LGBTQ+ community, children and women. A fourth could led to a prison construction moratorium and a reimagining of "Justice as Healing" and restitution:

• H.1470 & S.2956 An Act protecting LGBTQ victims
  
• H.1709 & S.937 - An Act to end child marriage in Massachusetts
• H.1800 & S.992 - An Act to stop profiling transgender people and low-income women
• H.1905 & S.2030 - An Act establishing a jail and prison construction moratorium
