Justice for Berta Caceres in Honduras

On October 31, 2017, an independent group of lawyers reviewing the Berta Caceres' case released a report in which they find “the existing proof is conclusive regarding the participation of numerous state agents, high-ranking executives and employees of Desa in the planning, execution and cover-up of the assassination.” The Honduran government has had the evidence of the intellectual authors of Berta's murder over well over a year and has not arrested the intellectual authors. The US Embassy claims to be assisting with the case, facilitating impunity. The intellectual authors must be arrested now and all those who have failed to act must be investigated.
