Write to Malcolm Turnbull now to demand that he release all children from detention by Christmas. We need you to act before Parliament finishes for the year on Thursday the 3^rd of December.

The Senate recently passed amendments to the Migration and Maritime Powers Amendment Bill 2015 that include:

• requirements to remove all children from detention within 30 days;
• mandating reporting certain types of abuse;
• increasing reasonable media access to detention; and
• providing greater whistle blower protections for service providers.

This was made possible by Senators coming together from the Greens, Labor and cross benchers to do the right thing for children in detention and people who need much greater protections in our detention centres.

The only thing left in the way of getting kids out is ensuring that Prime Minister Turnbull and his Coalition Government pass these amendments in the House of Representatives.
