Let Concord City Council Know That We Support the Concord Naval Weapons Station Term Sheet

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We are writing to let you know that an important vote is coming up to move the Concord Naval Weapons Station Development Project forward. Because of your voice and action, we were able to secure a Project Labor Agreement with Concord First Partners, the Developer of the proposed site. This 50 year, $11 billion dollar build out will include over 850 acres of parks, recreation, and trails, several thousand units of housing including affordable housing, and will provide hundreds of millions of dollars for the Tournament Sports Park and a Community Center/Library.

This is a project we are proud to support and are asking you to stand with the Contra Costa Building and Construction Trades Council to advocate that the Concord City Council approve the upcoming Term Sheet at the January 7th meeting. The Term Sheet lays out an outline of the community benefits, the 1st of which is a Project Labor Agreement with our Building Trades Council.

Please fill out your information and click start writing to send a letter to the Concord Mayor and City Council. Thank you for continuing to support your Union’s efforts to secure such a monumental project that will positively impact the region for decades to come.

Respectfully,

Bill Whitney
Chief Executive Officer
Contra Costa Building and Construction Trades Council
