Christmas campaign: help make sure community campaigner has a home next year

Liam is an active member of the community in North Lincolnshire who has spent many Christmases fundraising and running food drives for the homeless in his hometown of Scunthorpe. Each has been a great success. He also once ran his own charity providing free musical opportunities and instruments to disadvantaged children called Songbooks and Glory.

But this year, Liam needs the council’s help and support. In the past few months he has experienced a serious breakdown that has led to him being sectioned under the Mental Health Act. Discharged from hospital he is now in debt and unable to pay for heating or food. His claim for Universal Credit and PIP has been delayed and his landlord has taken him to court for rent arrears.
