Support for universal background checks before someone can buy a gun is supported by the American people by a margin of 97% to 2%, according to the latest Quinnipiac poll (February 20).

Still, almost all Republican Members of Congress refuse to support this common sense measure that would make it harder for terrorists and mass murderers to get access to guns.

The solution isn't hard to find. Some Democratic Members of Congress have introduced legislation which would expand screening requirements for firearms transactions to gun shows and Internet sales.

Tell all Members of Congress to stand up for the American people, and reject the gun industry and the NRA.
