Tell your members of Congress: 29 Million Americans Can't Afford Health Care—We Need Medicare for All

A bold graphic with a vintage texture and teal background. The large cream-colored text reads "Health Care for All!" with emphasis on the word "All!" which is much larger. Below "Health Care" is a bandage in the shape of a cross with a blue medical plus sign in the center. In the upper right corner, the logo for People's Action Institute appears in white.

A record 29 million people in the U.S. can’t afford basic health care. In 2023, 18% of U.S. households weren’t sure they’d have enough food to eat. And over the past few years, rent inflation has soared while wages remain stagnant.

People are fed up with rising costs and political inaction. They want real change—policies that put working families first, lower out-of-pocket expenses, and stop giant corporations and the politicians who serve them from draining our paychecks to enrich CEOs and shareholders.

In the richest country in the world, everyone should have what they need to live and thrive—including health care they can count on.

We’re calling on Congress to act. Cosponsor Medicare for All—and help build a future where no one has to fight with an insurance company or go into debt just to get the care they need.
