In early August 2024, the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority (MPHA) released its “Moving to Work” (MTW) MPHA 2025 MTW Annual Plan. This plan outlines MPHA’s intention to phase out Section 9 public housing through privatization. The proposed changes will result in widespread negative impacts, including increased eviction, and displacement of residents.

Defend Glendale and Public Housing Coalition (DG&PHC) is urging our supporters to submit comments on the plan using the sample letter provided here. You can personalize the letter with your comments. The letter will be sent to Minneapolis City Council Members, Minnesota State Representatives, HUD, and the MPHA Board.
