Despite widespread concerns raised by patients, health workers, and human & data rights campaigners, last year the Conservative government awarded a £330m contract to US spy tech company Palantir to run a giant database of our NHS health data - called the Federated Data Platform (FDP).
Palantir - a company with a track record in military technology and surveillance, which actively celebrates its deep involvement in ongoing war crimes in Gaza - is a totally inappropriate partner for our NHS.
Yet it’s recently been revealed that Wes Streeting is seeking to accelerate the rollout of the FDP; pressuring NHS England, who are now mandating every NHS trust to adopt Palantir’s technology.
As patients, we are deeply concerned by this authoritarian approach and by the intensified violations of our trust and our rights. We do not want a US company facilitating war crimes to manage our health data.
Take action today by using our easy tool to contact your local NHS Trust and urge them to oppose this rollout!
*NOTE: As the FDP relates to NHS England, this is only relevant for patients living in England!*
