Tell Mark Sutcliffe: NO ISRAELI FLAG RAISING ON NAKBA DAY!

Mark Sutcliffe's decision to fly the Israeli flag at Ottawa City Hall on May 14th represents an endorsement of Israel's genocidal actions and ongoing human rights violations. By flying this flag, our city council is openly supporting Israel's historical colonial crimes, including the forcible displacement of Palestinians during the Nakba of 1948, as well as its current policies of occupation, genocide, and apartheid.

Flying the Israeli flag at Ottawa City Hall also signifies a disturbing endorsement of Israel's recent military actions, particularly the ongoing ground invasion in Rafah, where over a million Palestinians, including over 600,000 children, are left with nowhere safe to seek refuge. This is not only morally reprehensible but also inconsistent with the values of respect and antiracism that our city claims to stand for. It's imperative that we voice our opposition to this decision by urging Mayor Sutcliffe to cancel this display of support for apartheid and genocide.

Join us in urging Mayor Sutcliffe to cancel flying the Israeli flag at Ottawa City Hall on May 14th. Make your voice heard by sending an email expressing your disappointment and concern about the endorsement of Israel's colonial crimes and ongoing genocide.
Together, we can demand accountability and solidarity with the Palestinian people. Take action now to stand for justice, respect, and antiracism in our city.
