Oppose road crushing log trucks in Alabama

Alabama’s roads and bridges are in jeopardy if S.B. 110 and H.B. 204 pass in the state legislature. These bills would increase axle weight limits for already-dangerous log trucks to 48,400 pounds.

Heavier axle weights mean significantly higher pavement damage and an increase in the number of posted bridges.

Alabama DOT found these bills would require an additional $200 million in annual spending on pavement resurfacing.
