Please Support Collective Bargaining!
Public service workers like police officers, firefighters, teachers and nurses are the backbone of our communities, yet in Virginia they lack the freedom to join together and negotiate for the basics, like smaller class sizes for our kids or safety equipment to protect them while they protect us.
Please take a moment and ask your Senator to support expanding the freedom to collectively bargain to all of Virginia’s public employees.
The freedom to collectively bargain should be a right for all Virginians – regardless of where they work. During negotiations, public service workers often advocate for things the entire community benefits from – things like small class sizes, increased staffing in medical facilities, safer staffing at correctional facilities, up-to-date public safety equipment, and safer workplaces.
