Teamsters' lobbying is working: On May 14, Governor Newsom released his May Revision to the proposed 2025-2026 state budget, dramatically reducing proposed cuts to the UC and CSU systems. Both systems now face approximately 3% cuts, as opposed to the 8% cuts proposed earlier this year. Teamsters fought hard for this reduction, lobbying our legislators in Sacramento and standing united with our fellow CSU and UC Unions!

But the fight for zero cuts isn't over.
