The School Leader Recruitment Support Program (SLRSP) is the only federal initiative that focuses explicitly on providing support to school leaders. The program provides much needed funding for the recruitment, preparation, placement, support, and retention of effective school leaders in high-needs schools.

Unfortunately, despite being reauthorized in the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), and with support from dozens of members of Congress, SLRSP would be eliminated in the FY2018 funding bills being considered by Congress.

However, there is still time to act and save the program. Final funding levels won't be determined until later this year, and you can help save this critical program.
