In recent weeks, sweeping layoffs, budget cuts, and funding freezes have devastated the USDA and the farmers and rural communities it serves. Programs that help farmers adopt climate-smart practices, improve land conservation, and invest in clean energy are being gutted. More than $22 billion in promised conservation and climate grants are frozen, leaving farmers scrambling to cover costs or abandon projects altogether.

The impacts have been devastating and far-reaching and need to be reversed to allow all farmers, ranchers, urban farmers and others to receive the funds granted per their contracts with the USDA.
