Once again, some in the General Assembly are pushing legislation to create an Achievement School District. The Senate is expected to take up the bill this week.  An Achievement School District would takeover the lowest-performing schools and relegate management to a private charter operator. Even in a pilot phase, this school takeover scheme is unproven, unaccountable, and transformation teams at DPI have already shown success.  Please encourage Senators to reject this proposal.
