Reject More Radioactive Waste Shipments to Texas
Waste Control Specialists (WCS) wants to ship even more radioactive waste into Texas from across the country. House Bill 2662 would allow the company to do just that by increasing the limit on the total amount of radioactivity at the disposal site by almost 50%. While WCS rakes in the profit, the people of Texas run the risk of water contamination from this radioactive waste.
The bill is up for a vote in the Texas House as early as today.
