Artur Wilczynski is the University of Ottawa's Special Advisor on Antisemitism. He was appointed during the summer break as a response to the peaceful student encampment. Artur has repeatedly equated university students with terror sympathizers and violent groups, putting uOttawa students in direct harm's way.
On September 17th, Israel conducted a deadly terror attack* on Lebanon, which killed ten people, including an eight year old girl, and caused nearly 3,000 casualties (among them innocent doctors, teachers, children, and civilians). Artur praised and celebrated this:
This directly puts Jewish students at harms way. As someone tasked with supporting the Jewish community on campus, his actions undermine his role and ignite further division and harm. Since he has been appointed, Artur has yet to do a single thing to help the Jewish community at uOttawa.
Artur Wilczynski has completely failed his mandate and must immediately be removed from his position at uOttawa.
By sending this email, you are standing against violence and advocating for a safe and inclusive campus for all students, regardless of their political views. Your voice can help hold the university accountable and ensure that individuals in positions of power are not endorsing dangerous and extremist rhetoric.
