Repeal the "City of Dayton City Commission Rules of Procedure and Order" NOW!

For anyone who couldn't attend or watch the commission meeting, you can do so here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rhhZa5bZtQ.
It was an incredible turnout and inspiring; this is the energy we need in 2022 to make Dayton a better place collectively!
RESULTS: The Resolution was removed, BUT the same resolution will be brought for approval at another meeting. Please note this resolution was drafted in 2018 and included other limiting provisions, such as three commissioners having to agree to put something on the calendar. None of this existed before 2018, when a non-endorsed candidate got on the commission.
Many citizens pointed out that it should not even take TWO commissioners behind closed doors to accept legislation drafted and presented to the public for a vote. As speaker McDonough said so well, "if they can do it in the state legislature, why can't we do it in Dayton?" Before 2018 we did.
"The City of Dayton City Commission Rules of Procedure and Order" sets an undemocratic precedent, squelches transparency, and jeopardizes the equal authority of each commissioner that is elected now and in the future. It may also be illegal and opens the commission up to wasting money on a lawsuit they could avoid by removing this document entirely.
Dayton citizens should demand the commissioners work for the community and use all their energy and rule writing towards a policy that improves the lives of Daytonians instead of on undemocratic documents.
