It’s hard to believe. The House Education Committee completely ignored teachers and other educational professionals’ voice of opposition this week. They eliminated Idaho’s Math, Science and English Language Arts content standards AND teacher credential standards. The fate of these standards now sit with the Senate Education Committee where we have the opportunity to uphold them for our professions and students.

Take action now. Let the Senate Education Committee know these standards are critical to student success.

When educational content standards were established by professional educators, we helped achieve thorough and uniform expectations for our students and educators. Eliminating the standards educators helped create shows complete lack of respect for teaching professions.
