Save Animal and Human Lives by Supporting the FDA Modernization Act 2.0

The FDA Modernization Act 2.0 would allow companies to use methods more advanced than animal testing to examine a drug’s safety and effectiveness.
The existing requirement that drugs be tested in animals impedes the development of life-saving medicine. Alternatives to animal testing are proving to be more effective in predicting whether drugs will work and be safe in humans. The use of human-relevant tests could cut the time to market in half for new drugs and reduce costs as much as five-fold.
The FDA Modernization Act 2.0 lifts the FDA's requirement for animal testing, allowing research to move forward with testing that is more relevant to human health than animal testing. If passed, this legislation would save countless animals from needlessly suffering in labs.
The FDA Modernization Act 2.0 was passed unanimously by the Senate. Please take a moment to ask your Representatives to bring this life-saving legislation to the House floor for a vote.
