Save the Civilian Conservation Centers

Tell Congress to support the Civilian Conservation Centers (CCC's)!

On May 24, the Department of Labor (DOL) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that nine CCC's (operated by US Forest Service) will be closed and the remaining 16 centers will be transferred to DOL to be operated by contract operators or other partners.

As a result of these changes to the CCC program, more than 1,000 federal employees will lose their jobs and the more than 4,000 CCC students will experience a disruption in their education and job training.

These centers operate in rural, low-income areas, the economic impact on the communities where these centers are located will be devastating.

This cannot happen and we need your help in telling Congress to oppose DOL and USDA's plan.

A number of Representatives and Senators have already issued statements opposing the change to the program, however that is not enough!

We ask that you send a letter your congressional representatives and ask them to SAVE THE CCC's.
