Say NO to the unconstitutional Sanctuary Ordinance

On July 13th, Collier County Commissioners will be voting on a proposed “Bill of Rights Sanctuary” ordinance. This ordinance would allow the county to disregard federal laws they deem “unconstitutional.” If it goes into effect, the county won't have to follow federal gun laws and other civil rights mandates. This opens the door to undo the federal protections that we currently enjoy
We cannot allow this blatant attempt to skirt common sense federal laws. These laws exist to protect the rights of all Americans. If a law is unconstitutional, the proper procedure is to sue in court. Local governments do not have the right to arbitrarily decide whether a law is unconstitutional. Per the Constitution, only judges, who have experience and knowledge, have that right.
Help us keep Collier County safe from extremists by sending them a letter against the ordinance.
