Tenants say "No valet garbage junk fees!"

Are you against valet garbage services and the mandatory junk fees charged by your landlord? Do you live in the United States? This letter campaign is to urge State legislatures, US Congress, US Senate, and the White House to consider watchdog agency protections and laws to shield renters from junk fees like valet garbage.

Landlords are hiring valet garbage service providers to monitor and maintain communal garbage. In turn, landlords then charge residents fees in excess of what they pay valet garbage service companies, thereby profiting from the mandated service. The fee is collected through a mandatory utilities "service fee" which residents cannot opt out of, even if they perform the service themselves. Which means our landlords are forcibly monetizing our trash. Residents also argue against keeping garbage in public spaces like hallways and breezeways as it becomes a public health and safety hazard.

Renters have become a large group of constituents who need legal protections against unsavory business practices being instituted in our homes by our landlords. We humbly ask for your support in the fight to rid rental housing junk fees which openly scam tenants across the United States.
