Take Test Scores Out of Evaluating

Please write to your Senator and Assemblyman to support removing student test scores from teacher evaluations. Assembly Bill 320, sponsored by Speaker Frierson and Assemblymember Fumo, takes student testing data out of evaluations, takes statewide testing data out of evaluations, but provides that 20% of evaluation will come from student learning goals (SLGs) that would be set up at the beginning of a school year by teachers and administrators focusing on the needs of the specific class.

The only way to build the momentum necessary to pass AB320 is with the strength of teachers sharing out personal, classroom stories to expose the serious problems with the current evaluation system. Please take the time to share your story with legislators and urge them to vote YES on AB320 to take statewide student test scores out of teacher evaluations.
