2.2 billion people, many of them in Africa, lack access to safe water services, while nearly double that number do not have access to safe sanitation services. This leads to millions of people falling seriously ill to preventable diseases.
And this tragic reality is exacerbated by corporations like Veolia and Suez controlling water systems for their own profit.
That’s why the Our Water, Our Right Africa Coalition, under the leadership of Corporate Accountability and Public Participation Africa (CAPPA), is organizing to build local power and escalate pressure on the drivers of water privatization.
Take action and stand with the Our Water, Our Right Africa Coalition in defense of the human right to water: Send their demands directly to the executives of these private water giants to ensure they can’t be ignored.
