2.2 billion people, many of them in Africa, lack access to safe water services, while nearly double that number do not have access to safe sanitation services. This leads to millions of people falling seriously ill to preventable diseases.

And this tragic reality is often exacerbated by corporations controlling water for their own profit.

That’s why this week Corporate Accountability and Public Participation Africa (CAPPA) is convening a regional week of action with allied organisations and activists from across Africa under the banner of the Our Water, Our Right Africa Coalition.
