Please join the IBEW to urge the House of Representatives to oppose the GOP tax bill.

The Senate narrowly passed the revised GOP tax bill on Tuesday, July 1, but the House must approve the Senate’s changes before the President can sign it. Since President Trump has urged Congress to get this GOP tax bill to his desk by Friday, July 4^th, this is the final opportunity for IBEW members to press their Representatives to vote against this bill.

This bill will immediately halt renewable energy development by cutting crucial Inflation Reduction Act tax credits, killing thousands of good paying jobs, including many held by IBEW members. Thanks to the IRA, clean energy sources like wind, solar, nuclear, and geothermal have created jobs nationwide, but this bill eliminates the investments responsible for this job growth.

The IBEW strongly opposes any proposal that guts infrastructure investment and sacrifices economic development while providing no clear benefit to working Americans. That goes for this bill and any version of it that threatens IBEW jobs.
