Nearly 1 in 3 Americans cannot afford the medicine they are prescribed at some point in their lives. Indeed at the last Washington Town Hall, a constituent explained how his life saving diabetes medicine costs him $900 per month and would be half the price if he were able to purchase it from Canada. In Canada and other major countries, the same medications are available for a fraction of the price compared to the United States, despite being manufactured by the same company and in the same factory.

This bill will allow for the importation of safe, lower priced drugs from Canada, thus increasing free market choice and driving down prices. Please support this bill as it will make these much need medicines available at an affordable price to everyone.
