Build more homes in the Outer Avenues

On Monday, February 5, the Board of Supervisors’ Land Use and Transportation Committee will consider President Peskin’s non-binding resolution opposing State Senator Scott Wiener's SB 951.

SB 951 is a smart, targeted bill that removes the already developed areas of San Francisco's coastal zone from additional, unnecessary processes. The City and County of San Francisco is a co-sponsor of this legislation.

SB 951 would affect parcels like the La Playa Safeway (below). It will leave the actual undeveloped parts of San Francisco’s Coastal Zone like Ocean Beach untouched while making it easier to add more homes to parts of our city that are already developed with mostly low-slung homes or large empty parking lots like this

Every neighborhood has to do its part to address our housing shortage. President Peskin’s resolution is simply a non-binding political stunt. Write a letter to Land Use today registering your opposition.
